Lichfield Cathedral Lady Chapel - 360 degree stitch and pan
The Lady Chapel at Lichfield Cathedral is quite exquisite with amazing details and beautiful stained glass. Here's a 360 degree full photo sphere made from a dozen captures, carefully blended to reveal the details in the glass and with some manual stitching to avoid errors.

Perseid Meteor over the Roaches in 360 degrees
It was relatively clear yesterday evening so I took the new Insta360 Pro camera out to the Roaches for its first test of it's abilities at night time photography and with the hope of maybe capturing the Perseid meteor shower. I wasn't sure how well it'd perform at this task, with relatively small sensors compared to my DSLR but it is remarkably proficient considering.
Amazingly during one of the time lapses I set up we spotted this particularly bright and long lived meteor - the remnants of the trail lasted for a good 20 or 30 seconds so I was really pleased to see that the camera had captured it.
Uploaded here at 4K resolution though the original is at 8K and can even be processed in 3D for anyone considering licencing please contact me.

The Marriage of Heather and Tom at The Yellow Broom, Cheshire, Fri 21st April 2017. Teaser Slideshow
Any wedding is amazing to be a part of as a photographer but especially so when you are capturing the big day of two lovely friends you have seen get together and grow as a couple. Here is a teaser slideshow of some of the photographs my assistant and I took of the wedding of Heather Senior and Tom Scragg. I have thousands of images to sort through and this is a merest selection of ones that jumped out as I transferred them so expect many more lovely ones in the galleries for the couple and guests in the upcoming few days. The Yellow Broom Restaurant provided the perfect venue, the food was delicious and atmosphere throughout the day was so joyous with family and friends coming from near and far to help them celebrate their marriage. Massive congratulations to the bride and groom!

You Can't see the Wood for the Trees
I was walking in a forest in the Goyt Valley in September 2016. I was most impressed by the way that the light from the Sun barely made it through the canopy of trees, all having grown upwards together to capture most of the available rays...

The United Reformed Church Saltaire
A missed train connection yesterday meant that I had a couple of hours to kill and so managed a lovely flying visit to Saltaire, one of my favourite places from my childhood. The town was built by the visionary industrialist Titus Salt who was a leading light in the Yorkshire woolen industry. The town combined quality social housing, good sanitation and great facilities for recreation and education, in contrast to the slums of many of the nearby cities. Here is the entrance of the United Reform Church, built in 1859 - a real Victorian architectural gem and Grade I listed. Saltaire was designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2001
