Macclesfield Festival 2018
Macclesfield Festival 2018 on 21st July was headlined by Manchester legends The Happy Mondays with Shaun Ryder and Rowetta on vocals and Bez doing what only Bez can, getting the crowd going with his amazing stage presence and dancing. It topped a brilliant day with a real family friendly, well-organised festival with masses of rides, attractions and entertainments.
Another real highlight were local lads The Virginmarys who attracted lots of fans of their own from across the country to see them play their first hometown gig in quite a number of years and who were treated to a storming set.
Carrying on the Manchester theme The Kar-pets provided a comprehensive performance of the Inspiral Carpet's biggest hits delivered by original frontman Tom Hingley.
Before them Manchester SKA Foundation really got the crowd dancing to a great mixture of tunes from the likes of The Specials, Bob Marley and Madness. Earlier on the bill were Shola Ama, Rainband, Puppet Theory and Apollo Junction. The festival also featured a number of dance tents catering to all tastes as well as the extremely well attended Macclesfield Kids stage.
After the phenominal success of 2018, tickets for 2019 are now on sale. These tickets are heavily discounted and are almost half price giving everybody the opportunity to buy tickets for thr festival at a very affordable rate.
